In a Nutshell

My name is Lauren Branch, I'm also known as Luda, LB, B-Ranch, Barbecue, Fudge, and whatever else people feel like calling me that day. I am a photographer, media specialist, and news reporter for The Duplin Times newspaper, The Goldsboro News-Argus, and several magazines. I'm obviously also a food blogger currently living in the Mount Olive, NC area. Working for the paper and running my business, Lauren Branch Photography, is my day job, but my other hobbies include playing sports (volleyball & basketball), traveling, volunteering, trying & seeing new things, and of course eating! I am a Sagittarius, so I am always looking for something to keep me entertained as I get bored very easily. Now enough of that blase blase, and on to the real reason why you are here.

I started this blog because I have a true LOVE for food. I know my friends get so sick of seeing all of my pictures & posts on EVERY social media site I own because probably 85% of my pictures and posts are about food. I often try to explain by telling people that every time I eat it's like a new experience, buuuuutt they just tend to look at me with utter confusion. I know I am not alone in this foodie-lover world. Hopefully, if you start following my blog, I will write some things that touch your foodie soul as well. Over the years, I have realized that addiction is real, and my addiction...is FOOD. As we have heard time and time again, the first step is admitting you have a problem, so here I am shouting it to the world! I mean, food is the essence of my being, and we are one. What better thing to write about than the one thing that controls your life.

This blog is not going to be your typical recipe blog. Although I will have some highlighted recipes, food is so much more than just recipes, so I want to take a deeper look at it, and uncover all it's little dark yet wonderful secrets. On this blog, I will have various articles of different topics all related to Food. I am also open to what YOU want to hear, so if you ever have any ideas you would like me to write about shoot them my way!
