Hi Friends!
It's that time of year again when we all sit in front of the television and root for the home team. Even if your team isn't playing we are still drawn to that last game of the season we all know and love called Super Bowl. We invite friends and family over to yell and scream and the television, commit gluttony, and get drunk! Well, foodies, we are going to attempt to make your gathering a little less stressful with a few easy, yummy, recipes for the big game. Here are a few quick and easy recipes that your guests will love!
3-ingredient Sausage Dip
Serves about 8
1 lb. pork sausage ( you can substitute ground beef if you like)
1 can of Rotel (Diced tomatoes and Chiles)
1 8oz of cream cheese
Brown sausage and drain, stir in cream cheese and Rotel. Stir until cream cheese is melted and the mixture is bubbly. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Easy, Simple, Guacamole
5 Ripe(black in color, and soft) avocados
1 teaspoon of garlic salt (or to taste)
1 can of Rotel(Diced tomatoes and Chiles) (if desired)
1 tablespoon of lime juice
Begin by peeling and removing the seed of the avocado. Place the avocados in a mixing bowl; using a fork, mash the avocados until the smooth(I prefer mine a little chunky, therefore I leave some chunks of avocado un-mashed). Stir in the garlic salt, lime juice, and drained Rotel. Mix completely into the mashed avocados. Serve chilled.
No-Hassle Chili
Serves about 4
1 lb. of ground beef
1 15.25 oz can of tomato sauce
1 can of dark kidney beans
1 package of McComick chili seasoning
1 small onion( if desired)
1 chopped green pepper
Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper and drain. Return ground beef mixture to pot and add kidney beans, tomato sauce, and chili seasoning. Let simmer for about 25 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, corn bread or corn/tortilla chips.
I hope you enjoy these as much as my family and I will!
Tastefully,
💓Teresa 💓
